Molecular Quantum Devices and Quantum Information

Aimei Zhou was born in Linyi, Shandong Province, China. She attended School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Shandong University of Technology in 2014 for undergraduate education. In 2015, she joined Professor Ziyan Zhou's laboratory to conduct research on metal organic framework materials catalyzing the reduction of dye pollutants under visible light irradiation. After obtaining her bachelor's degree in 2018, she entered the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Shandong University and completed her master's thesis in cooperation with Professor Shuhua Han. The main research content was the application of organic-inorganic hybrid mesoporous materials in chemical sensors. She designed and synthesized a new type of fluorescent chemical molecule and connected it to the framework of mesoporous silicon material. Compared with fluorescent molecules, the resulting chemical sensor could reduce toxicity, enhance selectivity, and improve sensitivity. After graduation, she was admitted to the School of Science at Westlake University and joined SUN Lab to continue her doctoral degree.
